Introduction
Clamoru is a mood journal with three gentle scratch-based games, provided by Ride Wave Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what stays on your device, what reaches our servers, and what you can do about either.
What Stays on Your Device
Your journal is created, stored, and analyzed entirely on your device:
- Mood records: the moods, reflections, and timestamps you create
- Photos: the photos you attach to a record are saved with it, so the record still shows them later. Your originals are left untouched in your photo library
- Drafts: entries you have started but not yet saved
- App preferences: your in-app settings and display choices
Mood statistics and trends are calculated on your device from these records. Nothing in this section is sent to us.
What We Receive
Our servers receive the following; usage analytics are covered separately below:
- Account identifier — Sign in with Apple gives us an opaque identifier that ties your coin balance to your account. We request no scopes during authorization, so we do not receive your name or your email address, and the identifier itself is not stored on your device.
- Purchase information — the App Store receipt for a coin pack, so the purchase can be verified and the coins credited.
- Coin balance and deductions — your balance, and the coins deducted when you start a Radiant Hunt session or send a letter. Nothing about your journal, your moods, or how you play is included.
- Letters — the text of a letter you send, and the advisor it is addressed to. The advisor you wrote to reads it in order to reply. Letters are stored on our servers so that you and that advisor can both see the exchange.
- Technical request information — the app version, the platform, your device’s language, region, and time-zone offset, and the time of the request.
Journal entries, photos, and drafts are not sent to our servers and are not included in analytics.
Letters to Advisors
Advisors are people we work with directly. When you send a letter, the advisor you addressed it to reads it and writes the reply.
- Sending a letter requires an account and costs 10 coins. If no reply arrives within 72 hours, the 10 coins are returned to your balance
- Your letters and the replies are kept on our servers so the exchange stays available to you across reinstalls and devices
- You can block or report an advisor from the letter screen. Blocking stops that advisor from writing to you; reports are reviewed by us, and we may remove content and end our work with that advisor
- Deleting your account deletes your letters and replies from our servers
- What you write in a letter is up to you. Please do not include anything you would not want another person to read
Sign in with Apple
An account holds the coins you buy and the letters you exchange with advisors, so both stay with you when you reinstall the app or move to a new device. Deleting the app signs you out; signing in again with the same Apple ID brings them back.
In-App Purchases
Clamoru sells one thing: a pack of coins. Apple processes the payment under its own terms, and we do not receive your payment method or your billing details. Coins are spent on Radiant Hunt sessions (1 coin) and on letters to advisors (10 coins). The three games themselves are free and unlimited.
Photo Library Access
Photos are attached through Apple’s system photo picker, so the app sees only the photos you pick, subject to the permissions you grant in iOS or iPadOS.
Analytics
Clamoru uses Mixpanel to see how the app is used, so we can tell which features people reach and where something breaks. What it receives is how you use the app, not what you write. Events are anonymous until you sign in, after which they are attached to your account.
Clamoru does not display ads, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell or share your information with data brokers or advertisers.
Apple handles its own processing when you download the app, sign in, complete a purchase, or use system features such as the photo picker, under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
Deleting Your Data
- Deleting a mood record removes it together with the photo copies saved for it; your originals stay in your photo library
- Deleting your account — Relax tab, the account avatar at the top, “Delete Account” — permanently removes your server-side account, its coin balance, and your letters and replies, and erases the journal entries, attached photos, and drafts on that device. Coins are forfeited and cannot be recovered or refunded
- Signing out deletes nothing
- Signing out or deleting your account unlinks you from future analytics events; to have past ones deleted, email us
- Photo access can be changed at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings
- Deleting the app removes its data from that device. A copy may still sit in an earlier device backup, which you manage in your Apple settings
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers goes over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and you remain responsible for protecting access to your device. We do not receive your journal, so we cannot access, restore, or recover it.
Children’s Privacy
Clamoru does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Account creation relies on Apple’s own sign-in flow and its age requirements.
Medical Disclaimer
Clamoru is designed for personal reflection and casual relaxation. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis response, or professional mental health services.
